I love Greek Weddings!!! They are so much fun!! Michael & Melanie were married at St. Demetrios Orthodox Church in a 45 minute ceremony full of culture and tradition. We headed down to the Honeysuckle and Newcastle wharf area to have their location photographs done….. Their reception was held at Charlestown Bowling Club….Congratulations to you both. Pregnancy and Belly Art Portraits on location in Newcastle

Kaylee came to me to have some Fine Art pregnancy portraits done not so long ago….Along with her belly shots at home we went to the top of Newcastle to have her location portraits done - These are becoming so popular with more and more “yummy mummies to be” wanting belly portraits whch look graceful…The above images of Kaylee is amongst my favourites as it makes her look like she is walking her pregnancy journey. It’s all about creating an illusion so that you see shape and form without seeing lumps and flaws!!

Ross and Elizabeth’s Golf Course Wedding Magenta Shores Central Coast

I completely love the styling of these images. I was lucky enough to be found by Ross and Elizabeth to photograph their wedding…The happy couple reside in Mackay QLD but flew down to Quay West Magenta Shores Golf Course to be married in front of 60 family and friends. We had a perfect Autumn April day…and loads of fun on their location shoot buzzing around the golf course. Ross and Elizabeth have a portfolio full of elegantly relaxed images. Scott & Karah’s Country wedding at Buttai Barn NSW

Congratulations to Scott & Karah. They were married amongst the trees at Buttai Barn NSW on 12th June 2010. A winter wedding in the cool breeze amongst the rustic location of old barns and a horse drawn carriage….The setting gave me the opportunity to give Scott & Karah a photographic portfolio with a hint of antique and farmyard charm….Scott & Karah it was an absolute pleasure for me to spend the day photographing you both. Thank you also to Rowanne from Envision Event Planning for all her hard work for making their wedding run like clockwork…..Everyone should have a “Rowanne” at their wedding!!!

What seperates me (Petti Anastasi) from other Newcastle photographers?

I have come to realise recently that within the Newcastle and Hunter Valley area in NSW there are so many “wedding photographers”offering their services. How do you choose who best suits your big day??? I asked myself ” why should couple’s choose me? What is different about me and other professional photographers? These are really tough questions to ask yourself. So many talented photographer’s are in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley area…..what seperate’s Petti Anastasi and why have me capture the most memorable day of your life?

I suppose I could say it is my documnetary approach to weddings….how I like the “photojournalistic” style of shooting where I photograph what I see…..but - really….any good photographer can say that….I think my point of difference is that I am passionate about every wedding and about what I do as a photographer…..How I love to turn up on the day knowing that the wedding I am about to witness and be part of is completely different to the one I just finished! I actually do photograph my take on the day but I then jazz the image with a little glamour and try and apply a creative spin on what I am seeing. That is what I bring to every wedding portfolio. After looking back at your collection of images your favourite image will not be the one where you are both looking and smiling to the camera….but the little moments through out the day captured….where an expression says it all!!

Sam and Debbie were married at the Greek Orthodox Church in Skelton street Hamilton, followed by a reception with 200 plus guests!!!!

Their day was perfect weather and one of their locations was utilising the grand old tree’s of Laman Street Newcastle where we had space for the Hummer’s which were their bridal cars.

Thanks to Corina an Michael from H2 Hunter Hummers for making the day run so smoothly and for all your co-operation.

What a busy start to 2009 Petti Anastasi had in regards to wedding photography portfolio’s and it doesn’t stop there…flying out to Fiji in June for a bit of R & R and to recharge the batteries Petti will have some time for a little personal photography and to maybe offer her services to as a photographer at The Sheraton Fiji and for any couple’s getting married…..

If you are planning a wedding for the Spring, summer 2009/2010 now is the time to get stuck into planning your big day! One of the most important things to book early is your wedding photography. Petti Anastasi says ” dates book fast especially the early and late part of the year so if you find that you like a photographer and their work, make sure you secure your booking with a deposit….”

Planning is crucial in getting who you want to photograph your big day.
